For years, Morgan injection-molding machines have been the go-to workhorse for labs, educators, and small manufacturers who need serious molding capability in a compact footprint. They’re rugged, reliable, and perfectly suited for R&D and low-volume production — but one thing has always held them back: tooling flexibility.
Until now.
We’re excited to announce the first production run of our Golden Gate Molders Morgan MUD Toolbase Adapter — the only bolt-on system that lets your Morgan press accept DME-standard MUD inserts.
Why We Built It
After years of running Morgan presses ourselves, we noticed the same problem coming up over and over again. Switching between molds was slow. Every new part meant a new custom frame or one-off modification. Meanwhile, the rest of the molding world had long standardized on DME’s modular MUD system — quick-change inserts, proven alignment, and predictable fit.
The issue? DME never made a compatible system for Morgan machines. So we did.
We designed and machined an adapter that bolts directly to the Morgan platen and allows any standard DME MUD A- or B-Series insert to drop right in. No permanent modifications. No custom spacer blocks. Just professional-grade modular tooling — scaled for the bench-top world.
Designed in San Francisco, Built to Last
Each adapter is precision CNC-machined from aluminum then finished and tested in our own lab. It’s the same level of craftsmanship and detail we put into every piece of hardware that leaves Golden Gate Molders — from prototype molds to medical-device tooling.

A Thank-You to the Morgan Community
This project came out of real-world use, conversations with other molders, and late nights in the shop. We’re grateful to the injection molding community - engineers, educators, and builders who keep these machines alive and evolving. This one is for you.
